Well Folks, that's a wrap!

March 13, 2016

Maybe it didn't hit 11 here today, but darn close. Soooo... that's the end of our trails.  Way too short of a season for my liking.  I guess we have to start looking forward to the next one.

Thanks to all that were around to help out with wood splitting and piling on Saturday.  It was a beautiful day and now we have a good wood supply for the next couple of years.

Plus 11????  What's going on?

March 11, 2016

There is still snow out there.  Thanks to the little dump we got on Wednesday.  But not sure for how long!  Please use extreme caution while out riding in these low snow conditions especially on road and water crossings.

If this weather keeps up our snow will be gone...          Sad smileys

From the President:

Due to upcoming spring weather, tomorrow's club ride will be going to W shack around 11.  Planning on having food, drinks and good laughs throughout the day.

Please bring couple pairs of gloves and a strong work ethic along with lots of energy as there may be some wood cutting and hauling along with splitting and piling of firewood. Equipment will be provided by the club and if your not sure what you are able to operate or do training can also be also done on the job site.

So come on out for the day and lets make it a fun event and end the day with a feeling of accomplishment.
                                                            Thanks, Raymond

All is Good!

March 7, 2016

Everything is good again!  Groomer guy got out there at 3 this morning and fixed the Wellman Trail all up!

Hopefully we get to use it some more before all the snow melts.

Trail down!

March 6, 2016

Due to extremely warm weather call in reports have been that the trail at Telephone Line Lake (#1 just north of Wellman Lake) where you have to cross the creek has caved in.  So the trail had been closed until further notice.  Please heed trail markers.

That's a wrap!

March 3, 2016

Seemed like everyone had a great time at the vintage ride.  Weather wasn't perfect, but it wasn't too hot for the machines, that's a bonus!  We had 63 registered vintage sleds!

Breakfast was good, ride was nice, pit-stop had no wind and turkey was delicious.  All in all another great ride for the record books!  Thank you to all the owners that came out and helped to make our day successful as well as the viewers who came to check it all out.  A big thank you to all the volunteers that made the day run smooth.

What a week... warm cold warm cold...

February 25, 2016

I should say what a winter.  Not great in the sledding department!

Groomer headed to Wellman early this morning to catch the cool temps.  All trails are open.  However, use caution as low snow conditions remain.

Do you have ole' Bessie tuned up?  The day is near...

9th Annual Vintage Ride is on Saturday.

Even if you don't have any old iron come on out and shoot the bull and see the ones that are around.  It's a great way to spend Saturday afternoon!

4" of New Snow this Weekend

February 16, 2016

The trails are better.  The fresh snow this weekend helped a lot.  However, still low snow conditions so use caution at road crossings.

Trail #515 (white church trail) remains closed.

Don't forget about the club ride on Wednesday.

Trails are officially OPEN!!!

February 5, 2016

YAY!  Ok ok calm down.  They are not all open due to low snow conditions.

Trail # 511 (Pretty Valley Trail) will remain closed

Trail # 515 (White Church trail) will remain closed

Trail # 6 (Cowan to Pine River ) will remain closed

If you are out and about this weekend on the sled, just slow down, there isn’t much snow out there and stay on the trails.  If you see something wrong with any signage please let someone know, so we can get it corrected as soon as possible.

Take care out there and if you are out on Sunday, there is a get together at the south shack. Lots of free food and drinks! Bonfire, wiener roast, music, and...................wood to split and pile.  So come on out and don’t forget the food!  Smiley     Have a good one!

Is Ole' Bessie Ready?

February 2, 2016

It's time to dust off that old iron and tune her up!  The 9th Annual Vintage Ride is scheduled for February 27, 2016 at the Swan Valley Museum.                 Click poster for more info   >>>>

There is something for everyone.  Even if you don't have an old sled come out and reminisce with the drivers.
Bring the kids and make a day of it.  Pancake breakfast, old iron, chance to win, turkey in a bun... what more could you have for a great day!

WE WANT SNOW!  WE WANT SNOW!

January 26, 2016

Staking has been done in some areas and the groomer is starting to get that first base packed.  But the 0 temps forcast for this week are not good!!

It's a Start....  But it better hurry up!

January 8, 2016

We did get some snow, but with the wind it's now all in the ditches.  We just can't get a break this year in the snow department!

We might be able to get the groomer out now.  But that is a big MAYBE... have to see what's left after the wind is done this weekend.

Stay tuned.  However, as of right now there is not great sledding in our area.  Rumors are there is a bit more west and north.  Have not had any concrete confirmation on that though.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

January 6, 2016

A large amount of snow is in the forecast for tonight thru to tomorrow.  Keep your fingers crossed that it does hit here!

Remember to check out the calendar for the scheduled club rides.  Everyone is invited and welcome to come along.

Darn El Niño

December 18, 2015

So.... if your looking for somewhere to sled... sadly it's not here.  We have been having unreal mild weather and no snow.  A few flakes have been falling here and there but we missed the Colorado Low that came thru the south last week.  Been hearing rumors of some snow in the ducks but doesn't sound like much there either.

Trails are Closed!
